The project will be based on Hualong One, China's third generation nuclear power technology with completely independent intellectual property rights.

A key part of China and Argentina's nuclear cooperation, the project will be the first Hualong One pressurized water reactor power plant.

CNNC will make full play of its whole-industrial-chain advantage and work together with the Argentine side to push forward safe and highly-efficient construction, and will build the plant into a model of China-Argentina nuclear power cooperation.

The project is also expected to deepen the two countries' cooperation, boost Argentina's economic and social development and improve local livelihoods.
