Built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), the Tsing Yi makeshift hospital is made up of modular box houses.

Each room of the hospital is equipped with basic facilities such as furniture and bedding, air conditioners, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.

At present, site formation work of five temporary community quarantine and treatment cabin hospitals in Hong Kong has been completed, and construction of the two permanent community quarantine and treatment hospitals in Penny's Bay and Kai Tak Cruise Terminal is making smooth progress.
