China Energy Launches World's First Nano Hydrocarbon Fuel Preparation and Production Project

China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) obtained approval for the world's first nano hydrocarbon fuel preparation and production project by industrial experts on Jan 18, 2022, confirming that the company has mastered the most advanced technology to prepare and produce nano hydrocarbon fuel.

The project is a fourth-generation circulating fluidized bed combustion technology that can produce aluminum and silicon powder using nano hydrocarbon as fuel.

It realizes less than 5 percent of fly ash combustible of aluminum and silicon powder production and more than 52 percent of alumina content output under low temperature combustion, which improves the output rate of aluminum and silicon powder.

The alumina plant, the raw material and power center and the electrolytic aluminum plant are the main pretreatment facilities of the company's entire core industrial chain of the circular economy.

The basic circular economic business model based on the industrial chain is expected to reduce electricity costs and encourage innovation while in operational mode.

According to the trial, the project has made breakthroughs in the industry and constitutes a foundation for higher-efficient mass production of aluminum-silicon powder. It will also help lower raw material costs for the production of aluminum oxide and provide a technical solution for flexible renovation of thermal power generator units.
