Eight subsidiaries of China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and 54 Sinopec Group gas stations in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) have played a key role in guaranteeing oil and natural gas supply during the recent COVID-19 pandemic in the region.
So far this year the company has supplied more than 40,000 metric tons of oil, diesel and gas and has provided about 200,000 tons of industrial diesel for construction of the 10,000 quarantine units in Penny's Bay and at Kai Tak Airport.
Nineteen oil and gas comprehensive stations and six special gas stations of Sinopec Group in Hong Kong have also launched green passages that offer customized services for safe and fast refueling of taxies and other service vehicles dedicated for fighting against the pandemic, providing about 60 percent of Hong Kong's oil supply and supporting the anti-pandemic work of the government.
