The Yangtze River Three Gorges 1, the world's largest pure electric cruise ship, has completed its trial voyage and returned to its homeport at the Three Gorges Visitor Center in Yichang, Central China's Hubei Province.
The cruise ship is 100 meters long and 16.2 meters wide. With a passenger capacity of 1,300, it is currently the most intelligent new energy pure electric ship in the world and has the world's largest battery power capacity.
In addition, the cruise ship is also the first of its kind to adopt a high-voltage charging and low-voltage replenishment mode, which efficiently solves the charging problem at high-power ports.
Once operational, it will be a green energy-powered ship with no emissions or pollutants.

Agreement for development of the cruise ship was reached by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) and Hubei Yichang Transportation Group in 2019 and its main body assembly was completed by December 2021.
It is scheduled for commercial trial operation in April 2022 and will be mainly used in tours along the Yangtze River, providing leisure and entertainment, tourism and sightseeing services.
