Located in the Shanghaimiao energy-chemical industry base in Ordos of the Otog Front Banner of Inner Mongolia, the newly-operational generator unit is part of the 4×1,000-megawatt ultra-supercritical indirect air cooling thermal power generation project.
It will support the ±800-kilovolt ultra-high voltage direct current power transmission project between Shanghaimiao and Linyi in Shandong Province, transmitting power to Shandong's power grid.
Adhering to security, high efficiency, a green approach, low carbon, flexibility and intelligence, the company made the unit the best in thermal efficiency and environmental protection and gave it the lowest coal and water consumption among plants of its kind in the world.
