In order to better serve the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the Beijingbei Bullet Train Station, a "service shop" for high-speed trains, has completed renovation and upgrading of its systems and technologies, improving train handling capacity by 70 percent.
Located at the starting point of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway, the institute was established in 2019.

Its renovation on Dec 13 and 14 mainly included software connection to the institute's train management systems and upgrading of the CTC software as well as renovation of the signal devices and overhead lines.
The insert devices in the switch zones were also adjusted and tested during the renovation project.
A 360-degree intelligent inspection system was installed in the institute, which will enable staff members to better monitor and inspect the trains.
The renovated institute is expected to be able to meet transportation demand during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics with a faster and more convenient high-speed train service.
