Recently, the globally advanced Precast Prestressed Efficiently Fabricated Frame (PPEFF) developed by China Construction Science and Technology Group Co Ltd was selected as one of the ten industrial technological innovations for the year 2021 by the China Construction Industry Association.
With five years of development, the PPEFF system has been applied across five provinces and cities, with applied areas covering 100,000 square meters. The system has realized the transformation and upgrading of China's precast concrete buildings from "wet" to "dry" . With the help of the system, the building of two floors can be accomplished within five days. This has drawn wide attention in the National 13th Five-Year Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Exhibition this October.
Compared with conventional "wet" construction method of cast-in-place concrete,the precast "dry" construction method is faster and greener, which is also an important development trend for future construction industry. To tackle with the current major problems of construction efficiency, connection material consumption, construction cost, seismic performance and alike, the highly effective PPEFF established a new generation of internationally leading "dry" pre-stressed compression assembly system and construction technology. With well-calibrated design and research, it brought up the new idea for optimizing key construction techniques,which makes building two floors within five days possible. The team has also applied 5-layer continuous collapse resistance test during their research, the largest test of its kind worldwide. The test results confirmed the better structural integrity and continuous collapse resistance of the PPEFF system.
