SOEs & Winter Olympics: CETC Launches Key Sci-Tech Research for Winter Sports Venues

Research by China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) into integrated technology based on full-stack and multi-source data convergence and service support for the Olympic winter sports venues is underway.

The research is part of the national key program of research and development and demonstrated application of smart presentations and advanced display technology at the winter sports venues.

The program intends to improve spectators' viewing experience and the overall display effect of Olympic culture and tourism attractions to create a "wonderful, extraordinary and excellent" Winter Olympics.

The research presided over by CETC mainly focuses on accurate positioning of dynamic and complicated scenarios, three-dimensional (3D) transmission and restructuring of large-scale data, and design and implementation of panchromatic laser projectors with highly-efficient light source modules.

The project also includes multi-source data convergence system construction, artificial intelligence-based video analyzing technology research and integrated platform development, and high-resolution 3D drawing technology development.
