Updated: 2021-12-27

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) launched its first comprehensive energy station with a new image in Chongli of Zhangjiakou, North China's Hebei Province on Dec 16, 50 days before the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The station will support power supply to the upcoming Olympic Games and marks the beginning of a new era of comprehensive energy service.

The Chongli North Oil and Hydrogen Comprehensive Energy Station is about 26 kilometers from the Taizicheng Gas Station. With 12 employees, it will provide oil and hydrogen refueling service during the Games.

With a new image standard, the new station has been painted white as the main color and accented with red lines, symbolizing the infinite development space of the company. The overall design shows inclusiveness and a fashionable sense of the future.

At the launch ceremony of the station, CNPC also announced establishment of a Winter Olympics service team and released a Winter Olympics service handbook, which includes information about the Winter Olympics, comprehensive energy service specifications, pandemic prevention and control requirements and safety emergency plans and images of Winter Olympics-themed stations.

The handbook also guides staff members at the station in providing considerate service during the event.

Given the need for pandemic prevention and control, the ceremony was held online and was livestreamed, gaining 2.37 million hits.
