China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) will play a role in global construction of the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) project. The project's launch ceremony has been held by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Beijing.
SKA is seen the world's most crucial big-science project in the field of astronomy now and for a period of time in the future.
As the world's largest radio telescope with the highest-level of technical requirements, the project is contributed to by many countries, making it a key big-science cooperative venture focused on humanity's knowledge and understanding of the universe.

CETC has actively participated in international science and technology exchange, technological research and program design of the SKA project since 2008.
The company innovatively initiated a space grid design that was later approved as the only design scheme of the project's antenna structure.
Meanwhile, CETC is also responsible for research and development of the project's medium-frequency antenna servo control and low-frequency information processing systems.
The company will work together with institutes like the Chinese Academy of Sciences to contribute Chinese solutions to the international project.
