CNOOC's First Comprehensive Energy Station Put into Operation in Shanghai

Updated: 2021-12-13

The Xingfeng comprehensive energy station in Shanghai, the first of its kind built and operated by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), was launched on Nov 18.

A major project to improve local livelihoods and increase focus on energy conservation and carbon lowering, the station features several functions such as photovoltaic (PV) power generation, large-power charging service, smart refueling and car washing, full 5G internet coverage and non-inductive payment.

The station has four 120-kilowatt fast charging piles, each of which has eight nozzles. The piles are in service 24/7, meeting the growing demand for charging service.

It's worth noting that the station is equipped with a 42-kW PV power generation system that supports lighting of the station for the whole day.

In cooperation with China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd., the station is equipped with 5G communication technology, the first among CNOOC's gas stations with that feature. The communication system helps improve the station's operation and management efficiency.

Non-inductive and self-payment can be done at the stations via Alipay and WeChat, which reduces waiting hours of consumers at the station.

A one-stop service including refueling, charging and car washing was also provided at the station. It takes only 60 seconds to wash a car.

Next, CNOOC plans to step up efforts to launch more comprehensive energy stations to bring convenience to people and contribute to green and low-carbon development in China.
