CHD Holds Open House at Power Station in Bali, Indonesia

Updated: 2021-12-03

China Huadian Engineering Co.,Ltd., a subsidiary of China Huadian Corporation Ltd. (CHD), recently held an online open house at the Bali Power Station in Indonesia, showcasing operation of the project and its impact on local people's lives.

Construction of the station started in 2012 and its three 142-megawatt generator units went into operation between June and August of 2015.

The project generates 2.8 billion kilowatt-hours annually, accounting for 40 percent of the power of the region.

Operation of the station has brought sufficient and stable power to local people and improved their livelihoods. Many people also gained technical skills by working at the station.

It's worth mentioning that the station closely follows the principle of clean and green operation with high efficiency for sound environmental protection.

Emissions of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and smoke from the station are much lower than local requirements, which has gained praise from Perusahaan Listrik Negara, an Indonesian state-owned power company, and various industries in the country.

The power station also joined hands with a local environmental protection institute to establish a coral research and restoration center. So far, the center has released 500 coral seedlings that cover 200-square-meter of natural reef, laying a foundation for future scientific research and coral restoration.

Over the past years, CHD has made contributions to investment, construction and operation of energy and power projects in countries like Vietnam and Indonesia while fulfilling social responsibilities.
