The first hydrogen-powered bus developed and manufactured by Jiangxi Kama Business Bus Co Ltd (Bonluck Bus), a subsidiary of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), was recently put into operation in Australia.
The bus is also the first of its kind in the country.
With a maximum endurance mileage of 430 miles (700 kilometers), the bus has a stainless steel and aluminum structure and long life span. It can be refueled within 3 to 10 minutes.
More buses of this kind are being manufactured and are scheduled to be delivered by the end of this year. These buses are expected to help promote upgrades of energy tech and green transportation development in Australia.
Bonluck Bus is the first Chinese bus manufacturer to enter the Australian market. So far, nearly 3,000 buses made by the company are in service in the country.
The first export China-made diesel bus, hybrid bus and purely electric bus in Australia were also provided by the company.
