Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd. (XINXING PIPES), a subsidiary of Xinxing Cathay International Group, has played a role in the Umm Al Hayman (UAH) Waste Water Project in Kuwait.
With a total investment of $1.8 billion, the project is a key part of the country's second national development plan, as well as its largest water treatment project.
The project mainly includes construction of an ultra-large sewage treatment plant and a supporting pipeline network, which are intended to solve sewage treatment problems and meet local industrial and agricultural water demand.

Considering the high temperature and dry weather, as well as the unique water conditions in Kuwait, two-thirds of the pipelines are designed with high technical and quality requirements.
As the world's largest centrifugal cast iron pipe and fitting producer, XINXING PIPES became the only pipeline supplier of the project in 2020. The contract involves 200,000 metric tons of centrifugal pipes and fittings, making it the largest of the company's overseas single orders.
By September this year, XINXING PIPES had shipped 71,000 tons of cast pipes and fittings for the project, ensuring that it could proceed as scheduled.
