China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC)'s first comprehensive energy station providing oil, gas, hydrogen, power charging and sales services has gone into operation in Beijing.
It is expected to support the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and contribute to China's goal of peaking carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and reaching carbon neutrality by 2060.
Located in Yanqing District, the Jinlong Comprehensive Energy Station covers an area of about 15,000 square meters.
With a daily hydrogen refueling capacity of 1,500 kilograms, the station can simultaneously provide charging services for 35-Megapascal and 70-MPa hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. During the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, 212 hydrogen cars are expected to receive charging services there.
Based on technologies like the Internet of Things, video artificial intelligence algorithms, smart checking and electronic pricing, the station will offer smart refueling services.
Equipped with three 120-kilovolt double-plug charging piles and six parking spaces, the station can fully charge a car within 15 minutes. The roofs of the main station buildings and charging shed are covered with photovoltaic plates with an installed capacity of 80 kilowatt and daily power generation volume of 230 kilowatt-hours. The power is enough to meet lighting and domestic demands at the station.
The station also has 30-cubic meter liquefied natural gas (LNG) equipment and can store as much as 11 tons of LNG.
In addition, the station has a convenient store that features three zones for shopping, eating and entertainment. Consumers can obtain more than 100 CNPC-produced products and 16 kinds of Winter Olympic products.
Automatic car washing equipment and a sewage treatment facility can be seen at the station, allowing cars to be washed in an environmentally-friendly way.
CNPC has stepped up efforts to support green and low-carbon Winter Olympic Games and has launched several hydrogen stations in Beijing and North China's Hebei Province.
