China General Technology (Group) Holding Co Ltd (Genertec)'s logistics subsidiary recently launched a cross-border e-commerce air course between Shenyang in Northeast China's Liaoning Province and Alma-Ata in Kazakhstan.
It is the first chartered air course for scheduled central Asian freight flights that starts from Northeast China and the fourth main course of the company.
It is expected that 50 flights will operate on the course by the end of this year, involving 1.5 million international trade orders and carrying goods valued at about 600 million yuan ($93.06 million).
The launch of the new air course will improve the international freight transport network in Shenyang, promote exports of technological products and high-quality goods made in the city and provide convenience for and logistic solutions to economic and trade exchanges between Northeast China and Central Asia, which will contribute to industrial revitalization in Northeast China.
The Shenyang Area of the China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone has witnessed rapid development of cross-border e-commerce this year. In the first eight months, 10.83 million orders were completed in the zone, involving goods valued at more than 1 billion yuan, six times the total volume last year, which showed greater demand for international freight channels.
Genertec has highly valued international trade between China, Russia and Central Asian regions in recent years, deploying international trade and commodity supply chain businesses, offering logistic supply chain management services for cross-border e-commerce and launching dedicated logistics projects.
After the launch of the new air course, Genertec will continue to open other courses and provide multiple solutions for the transport of cross-border e-commerce goods.
