Promoting local industry
Founded in January 2012, Jushi Egypt, a branch of China Jushi Co., Ltd. (China Jushi), a subsidiary of China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd., has evolved into one of the leading enterprises in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and is the largest Chinese manufacturing enterprise in Egypt.
As the largest overseas production base for the Chinese fiberglass industry, Jushi Egypt provided nearly 2,000 jobs for local people and created about $47.23 million in taxes and more than $1 billion in foreign exchange revenue for the country between 2014 and 2020.
The company offers free shuttle bus and traffic subsidies for local employees and free accommodation for those whose hometowns are far away from workshops. The dorms are equipped with all kinds of home appliances, including washing and drinking machines as well as free water, power and television services. Fitness centers, activity rooms, cafes and restaurants can also be found nearby.
Jushi Egypt also pays attention to local talent cultivation. More than 90 percent of the company's employees are Egyptian.
According to the general manager assistant of the company, Jushi Egypt has contributed to development of Egypt's fiberglass industry and cultivation of talents in the field. The country is now the fourth-largest fiberglass producer and trader in the world.
