The new port, covering about 28,000 square meters, is a major livelihood project for both Macao and Guangdong.
Open around the clock, the port is for pedestrian use only. It features 100 automated channels and is expected to handle 200,000 border crossings a day.

Linking directly to the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity Railway, it will make it more convenient for Macao residents to travel to and from the mainland.
The port will play a role in deepening cooperation between Guangdong and Macao and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
