Ji Long Dao, the first roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) ship of COSCO Shipping Ferry Co., Ltd. that is capable of carrying 1,370 passengers, was named and delivered in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong Province on Aug 20.
The 208-meter long and 28.6-meter-wide vessel is a top-class ro-ro ship in China and has world-leading performance in speed, controllability and stability.
It has more than 360 passenger quarters and features a VIP restaurant, an open-air restaurant, a barbecue terrace, an open tea house and bar and entertainment spots like a cinema and a video game room, providing passengers with comfortable travel experiences and meeting their entertainment demands.
Designed for a speed of 22.3 knots, the vessel will be used in the COSCO Shipping Ferry Co., Ltd.'s route between Dalian in North China's Liaoning Province and Yantai in Shandong Province, taking six to seven hours less than land travel between the two cities.
