Updated: 2021-08-24

The Yunxi overhead road in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang Province, recently opened to traffic.

A supporting traffic facility for the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, the road boasts the longest of its kind ever built in Zhejiang.

Starting from Chongxian Street in Linping District, the road is connected with Qiushi overhead road, stretches through Renhe, Liangzhu, Pingyao and Cangqian streets and terminates at Yuhang Street.

The six-lane road is 34 kilometers long and has a designed speed of 80 kilometers per hour. It was built to the highest-level road construction standard and features urban road functions.

Once operational, the road is expected to make travel easier between Yuhang and Linping districts and will improve the overall highway network in Hangzhou, which will promote coordinated regional development and construction of a common prosperity demonstration zone.
