Central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) played a crucial role in restoring facilities and troubleshooting hidden dangers in Central China's Henan Province which was recently swamped by heavy rains and flooding.
The State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC) launched an emergency response in Henan to restore equipment and improve real-time monitoring and on-site inspection to guarantee power supply amid the flooding.
By noon of July 22, SPIC had put more than 4,000 employees into teams for power restoration, allocated 100 vehicles for equipment repair and installed more than 100 drainage facilities. At present, generator units with a total installed capacity of 13.51 million kilowatts are in stable operation or ready for emergency use.

In response to the sudden flooding, China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited's aviation fuel station in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan, required stringent operation procedures to guarantee fuel quality, increased inspections to the storehouses and quickly cleared ponding to prevent accidents while strictly implementing the epidemic prevention and control work at the airport.
The operation area of China Datang Corporation Ltd. in Anyang, Henan, was flooded in early morning of July 22 due to a sudden rainstorm, which threatened stable and safe operation of the power generator units.
The company lost no time in arranging technicians to drain the water and protect key equipment from the flood while ensuring personal safety.
