Construction of a 93,000-cubic meter very large gas carrier (VLGC), which is expected to be the world's largest of its kind to be powered with two kinds of fuel, has started.
The vessel was independently designed and developed for Petredec Holdings (Eastern) PTE Ltd by Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited.
Its specially designed main body makes it perform well under various working conditions.
It's worth noting that the vessel also has world-leading performance indices in navigation speed and fuel consumption.
Jiangnan Shipyard is responsible for building six such vessels for Petredec and the recently started construction of the first one is scheduled to be completed in early 2023.
The hard-to-build VLGC is a liquid cargo ship dedicated to transporting of liquefied gas and is typically equipped with high technologies. It has a high added-value.
