Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) lost no time in transporting 5,000 metric tons of stones in response to the breakdown of the river levee in Junxian county in Central China's Henan Province caused by the recent heavy rains.
The break in the levee occurred in the evening of July 22 and was about 40 meters wide. Due to the high velocity of water flow, the break could not be repaired despite deposit of several truckfulls of stones.

In the wee hours of July 23, a POWERCHINA's subsidiary in Henan immediately arranged four heavy diggers and 13 carriers to help excavate stones at the mining project in Qixian county and transport the materials to fill the break.
The next day the company transported another 13 carts of stones to the site.
In midnight of July 26, through cooperation between the army and professional rescue teams as well as the public, the break was finally rebuilt after more than 70 hours.
