Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA) has signed an EPC contract on the Wind Power Plant SKADIMOVAC-GLAMOC in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is expected to be the largest of its kind in the country upon operation.
With an installed capacity of 231 megawatts, the wind power project will include design, purchase and construction of 55 wind power generators and supporting facilities.
A consortium of POWERCHINA Sinohydro Bureau 7 Co., Ltd and POWERCHINA Hubei Engineering Co., Ltd will be responsible for the construction.
A participant in the Belt and Road Initiative and a member of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries ("17+1 cooperation"), Bosnia and Herzegovina is home to rich wind power resources.
Once operational, the project will contribute to local employment and promote economic development. It will also promote implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and deepen "17+1 cooperation".
