82 Chinese SOEs Listed among 2021 Fortune Global 500

A total of 82 Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) were included on the 2021 Fortune Global 500 List released on Aug 2; 49 of them are central SOEs and their subsidiaries.

Thirty-three others were local SOEs, and both groups had one more than their numbers of last year.

State Grid Corporation of China, China National Petroleum Corporation and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation rank second, fourth and fifth, respectively.

There are 143 Chinese enterprises on this year's Fortune Global 500 List, 10 more than in 2020. They top the list of numbers of company by country for the second consecutive time.
