The T1 tunnel of section D of the Etihad Rail Stage 2 project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was dug through on July 16.
Located in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE, the 1,800-kilometer tunnel is currently the longest of its kind and is a key part of the railway project.
Completion of the excavation was a milestone in the construction of the railway.
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, was responsible for the tunneling.
