Central State-owned enterprises (SOEs) are ensuring normal communication services at full steam amid the flooding in Central China's Henan Province.
In response to the flooding, China Mobile Limited (China Mobile) in Henan set up an emergency office for 24/7 service of supply allocation, emergency rescue and communication repairs to guarantee smooth communication service.
By noon of July 21, the company had deployed 1,562 employees, 762 vehicles, 790 oil engines and 14 satellite telephones to the flood-hit areas and had repaired 2,763 base stations and 34 transmission line faults.
Meanwhile, more than 400 million early warnings of flood prevention and security instruction messages had been sent to users.

China Telecom Corporation Limited (China Telecom)'s subsidiary in Henan launched a high-level response to the heavy rain and flooding and has so far sent out more than 600 staff members, 162 vehicles and 125 oil engines for rush repairs.
On July 21, the company improved network monitoring of communication condition in flood-hit areas and its employees are ready for any emergency.
China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd. (China Unicom) dispatched technical experts to Henan and turned on the emergency power system to ensure security of key systems.
Its employees also worked together with China Telecom to guarantee unobstructed communication. So far, the company has sent 149 vehicles, 531 employees, 196 oil engines and two satellite telephones to support the disaster relief and sent 10 million emergency messages to its users.
