China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) has given all out efforts to poverty alleviation of the Tibetan people in Northwest China's Qinghai Province since 2010.

By the end of May 2021, the company had invested more than 173 million yuan ($26.78 million) in planned projects in Gangca County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and sent seven employees to support local development.

With an average altitude of 3,611 meters, Gangca is an ethnic minority community mainly inhabited by the Tibetan people. The county was delisted from poverty on Sept 29, 2018, but China Energy had not stopped taking steps to improve local livelihoods.

On May 2020, the company completed construction of 12 pumping wells in the county, which made it easier for residents to access clean water.
