Construction of the Katana water supply project in Sri Lanka, contracted by Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. (AVIC), was completed on March 22.
A major livelihood project in the country, the project provided more than 1,000 jobs to local people during construction.
Once operational, it will help supply potable water to 220,000 residents in affected areas and provide water to the industrial park affiliated to Bandaranaike International Airport, promoting industrial economic growth in the country.
