China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and Malaysia-based Petronas signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on strategic cooperation on March 15.

Under the framework of the MOU, the two companies will expand their cooperation to all of the industrial chains and seek cooperation in exploration and development in key regions, purchase and sale of liquefied natural gas (LNG), investment in LNG infrastructure construction, refueling of vessels, renewable energy, specialty chemicals and new chemical materials, lubricating oil, and oilfield and engineering services.
