Construction of China Trade Center in Moscow Completed

Updated: 2021-03-03

Construction of the China Trade Center in Moscow, Russia, was completed on Feb 20, the first time a Chinese enterprise had independently received a completion acceptance report issued by the country's authority.

Covering an area of 125,000 square meters, the China Trade Center features 5A office buildings, five-star hotels, serviced apartments and convention centers.

More than 400 workers from Russia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan were recruited during construction, which promoted regional economic growth.

The only project funded, constructed and operated by a Chinese enterprise in Russia, the center is expected to be the headquarters of Chinese enterprises and a trade and information center. It will also be a carrier to exhibit high-quality products for Chinese enterprises.

Under cooperation between China and Russia, it is an iconic and flagship project to connect the Belt and Road Initiative with the Eurasian Economic Union strategy.

Construction of the Chinese-style garden project of the center, covering five hectares, is now underway. Upon completion, it is expected to be Russia's first Chinese-style garden cluster.

The project was contracted by China Construction First Group Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
