The No. 2 generator unit of the 2×600MW Hai Duong Coal-fired Power Plant project in Vietnam completed a 336-hour trial operation on Jan 18, 2021, with all function parameters exceeding designed values.
The Hai Duong Coal-fired Power Plant, invested and built by China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., (Energy China Group) is a result of the Belt and Road Initiative and a major part of China-Vietnam cooperation in production capacity.
Once fully operational the project is expected to produce as much as 8.1 billion kWh of power annually, which will contribute to power supply and industrial upgrading in Hai Duong, Hanoi and neighboring areas.
