CNCEC to Contribute to Improving Natural Resource Utilization in Ukraine

Updated: 2020-12-22

China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) recently won the bidding for a coal-to-liquids and dimethyl ether production complex project in Ukraine.

Valued at about 25.7 billion yuan, the project is to be built in the Lviv region within 32 months.

It will be used to produce 900,000 tons of gas and 860,000 tons of dimethyl ether annually based on six million tons of coal.

Ukraine is home to rich coal resources but has relatively scarce petroleum and natural gas.

Upon completion, the project is expected to promote utilization of the country's resources and improve its energy security.

In addition, the project will also provide jobs for local residents and contribute to regional economic and social development.
