First PV array of the Longyangxia Solar-hydro Power Station, the world's largest of its kind, started trial operation on Dec 4, 2013. 

Constructed by China Power Investment Corporation (now merged with State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation into State Power Investment Corporation), the station covers 9.16 sq km. 

With a production operation period of 25 years, it is the most valuable solar-hydro power station built in one continuous period in the world. 


The No. 5 generator unit of the Kariba South Hydro Power Station extension project in Zambia opens operations on Dec 4, 2013 

The No. 5 generator unit of the Kariba South Hydro Power Station extension project in Zambia went into operation on Dec 4, 2013. 

Contracted by Power Construction Corporation of China, the new generator units produce 18 percent of the country's total electric power.

With a five-year construction period, the power plant has one of the world's largest reservoirs, its highest dam of 128 meters, and storage capacity of as much as 184 billion cubic meters of water.


TBM made in the Chinese mainland is purchased by Taiwan for the first time on Dec 4, 2017

Four six-meter tunnel boring machine (TBM) were purchased by Taiwan from China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, a Chinese central SOE, for its Wanda Line on Dec 4, 2017. It was the first time such machines made in the Chinese mainland were exported to Taiwan.
