China's first experimental deep-sea mobile workstation completes its water tank trial on Nov 21, 2013

"Longgong", which means Dragon Palace, China's first experimental deep-sea mobile workstation, completed its water tank trial phase 1 on Nov 21, 2013.

It was another advanced exploration of deep-sea equipment after the development of the submersible Jiaolong in China.

It took China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation ten years to develop the workstation.

The workstation since then has completed two jobs — exploitation, development, research and utilization of oil and gas, mineral and marine biological resources as well as maintenance, inspection, and repair of undersea installations and the oil and gas production system.

China's first new energy suspension overhead rail traffic test line is completed on Nov 21, 2016

The first new energy suspension overhead test railway in China was completed on Nov 21, 2016, and the country's first new energy overhead train started operation on the line the same day.

The line was jointly developed by many units including CRRC Corporation Limited, China Railway Group Limited and Southwest Jiaotong University.

The suspension overhead railway system means that the rail line is supported by pillars with its trains suspended overhead.

The test line is also the first time in the world that the trains have been driven by a battery pack instead of high voltage. The technology is subject to complete proprietary intellectual property rights and is a significant breakthrough in China's rail traffic field.
