CCIC Launches Preventive Disinfection of Imported Cold-Chain Foods

Updated: 2020-11-19

China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC) has been in full swing in thoroughly disinfecting imported cold-chain foods since early November.

The Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council on Nov 9 released a notice requiring preventive disinfection of imported cold-chain foods before they come into contact with domestic workers.

In response to the notice, CCIC urgently made six technical regulations on cold-chain food disinfection involving such aspects as disinfection work plans, disinfection technical guidance and common disinfectant types and their usages.

CCIC made its first thorough disinfection of imported cold-chain foods on Nov 10 and to date has carried out the work in several provincial regions including Fujian, Liaoning, Henan, Shandong, Hunan, Jiangsu and Guangdong.

The company will take advantage of its professional technology and work together with the government to strengthen regular prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic.
