No. 1 National Highway of the Republic of Congo is completed on Oct 3, 2015
The No. 1 National Highway of the Republic of Congo was completed on Oct 3, 2015.
The 536-kilometer highway, an important passage linking the country's capital Brazzaville and Pointe Noire, the country's economic center, was contracted by China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
With a total contract value of $2.82 billion, the project required seven years to complete with construction teams overcoming technical, material, environmental and security difficulties.
It is regarded as the project that realized the dream of several generations of the Congolese people.
Manned submersible Shenhai Yongshi, or Deep Sea Warrior, passes deep-sea testing on Oct 3, 2017
The manned submersible Shenhai Yongshi, also known as Deep Sea Warrior, finished its offshore mission in the South China Sea and returned to the port of Sanya, South China's Hainan Province with its mothership Tansuo-1 on Oct 3, 2017.
Deep Sea Warrior was one of the major developments of the National 863 program under China's 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-15) and is another program milestone after the manned deep-sea submersible Jiaolong.
The submersible was primarily developed by the China Ship Scientific Research Center with contributions from 94 Chinese units.
It was proof that China's deep-sea equipment covers all stages from integrated innovation to independent development and was a solid foundation for development of full ocean depth manned operation submersibles.

It was the first large-scale EP mining processing project any Chinese enterprise had ever undertaken in the country.
Contracted by China Metallurgical Group Corporation, the project required a great deal of processing. It went into service five years and nine months after the signing of the contract.
