Trial operation of China's key refining-chemical integration project succeeds on Oct 2, 2017
The second phase of China National Offshore Oil Corporation's 10 million-ton Huizhou Refinery project successfully concluded trial operation on Oct 2, 2017.
Located at Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Park in Guangdong Province, the project was the largest integrated refinery project under construction in China at that time with a total investment of 46.6 billion yuan ($6.54 billion).
The successful trial was proof that the project would meet rapidly growing demands for high-quality petrochemical products in southern China and throughout the country.
The project contributed to restructuring and upgrading of the country's economy and promoted high-level development of its petrochemical industry.
