'Time Is Money, Efficiency Is Life' Proposed to Promote Shekou Industrial Zone Development

Yuan Geng, founder of the Shekou Industrial Zone developed by China Merchants Group, proposed "Time is money, efficiency is life" in March 1981. The slogan encouraged people to focus on improving work efficiency and to strive for development of the zone.

It was written on the Shekou Industrial Zone float in China's National Day Parade in 1984.
