Shenzhen Pumped Storage Power Station Goes into Operation

The last generator unit of the Shenzhen pumped storage power station went on-line on Sept 25, 2018, marking that the first large-scale pumped storage power station in an urban area on the Chinese mainland was fully operational.

Contracted by China Gezhouba Group Mechanical & Electrical Construction Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group), the station is a major project of China's renewable energy development plan and plays a key role in the "west-to-east" power transmission project and the power grid network in Guangdong and Hong Kong.
