Located in Jungar Banner, Ordos in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Zhunneng Group Company Limited, a subsidiary of China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy), is devoted to green coal.
Making full use of the region's rich coal resources, the company is active in fields of coal development, pithead power generation, railway transportation, the recycling economy of coal and ecological agriculture and animal husbandry.
With a proved reserve of nearly 3.09 billion tons of coal, the company is capable of producing coal products with a high ash fusion point and soda ash, low water and sulfur content as well as stable quality.
Such coal products are called "green coal".
The company now owns the Heidaigou and Haerwusu open pit mines and supportive preparation plants that have an annual production capacity of 69 million tons, a coal gangue power plant with an installed capacity of 960MW and a pilot plant intending to refine 4,000 tons of aluminum oxide from fly ash annually.
The 448-kilometer Datong-Jungar Railway and the Jungar-Chinan Railway that can transport more than 100 million tons of products, as well as supportive facilities to supply power, water and explosives are also among the company's assets.
