Fuqing nuclear power plant
The Fuqing nuclear power plant is a pioneer of ecological protection. Its first phase won a national award on water and soil conservation, the first time such award was granted to a project in this field.
The four generator units of the phase I and II projects have produced about 130.5 billion kWh of power, equaling the power generated by about 40.05 million tons of standard coal.
The construction of the plant's No. 5 and 6 generator units is the world's first Hualong One demonstration project, which showcases China's third generation nuclear power technology.
It is expected that the annual generating capacity of the plant will reach 50 billion kWh when it is completed. With an estimated output value of about 20 billion yuan ($2.9 billion), the plant will drive 300 billion yuan of investment and create 30,000 jobs.
Generally speaking, it will greatly relieve power shortages and contribute to economic growth as well as environmental and social benefits.

Hainan Changjiang nuclear power plant
The top energy project in South China's Hainan province, the first phase of the Hainan Changjiang nuclear power plant project was completed and went into operation in 2016.
The annual generating capacity of the plant occupies one third of the power consumption of the entire province, making Hainan the province with the highest levels of clean energy in China.
The clean energy supply is a strong foundation for building the province into a national ecological civilization pilot zone and for construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
Surrounded by evergreen plants and flowers as well as various kinds of birds, the plant is worthy of the name "garden factory".
