China Guodian Corporation and China Shenhua Group reorganized and merged into China Energy Corporation with the approval of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on August 28, 2017.
The company, valued at more than 1.8 trillion yuan ($252.11 billion), has eight scientific research institutions and six science and technology enterprises.
About 330,000 people work for the company.
Its businesses cover eight fields — coal, conventional energy resources, new energy, transportation, the coal chemical industry, industrial science technology, energy conservation and environmental protection and industrial finance.
In addition, the company is the world's largest coal producer, thermal power generator, renewable energy power producer and coal liquefaction and coal chemical company.

Manufactured by China CNR Corporation Limited (now merged with China CSR Corporation Limited into CRRC Corporation Limited), the train was made of a new type of B2 standard aluminum alloy.
Consisting of six cars, the train can be operated as fast as 80 kilometers per hour.
Different from other metro vehicles, the cars have special heating and heat preservation systems which guarantee normal operations in temperatures as low as minus 38 degrees Celsius.
In addition, the train is equipped with a world-advanced network control system which integrates such functions as monitoring, fault diagnosis and control.
The train is manufactured to international standards and has advanced security specifications.

Hainan Power Grid Corporation Sansha Power Supply Co. Ltd., of China Southern Power Grid (CSG), China's southernmost power supply administration, was established on Yongxing Island of the Xisha Islands on August 28, 2012.
The company aimed to build an intelligent, highly-efficient, reliable and green island micro power grid with multiple and complementary functions suitable for the climatic features of Sansha.
The grid was designed and built to high standards and made full use of new energies like solar power.
In addition, the combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system on the island is driven by waste heat from diesel and liquefied natural gas, which realizes a sustainable development of power and energy supply of the mini grid, promoting an integrated use of energy and resources to guarantee Sansha's power supply.
