The Cabinda water supply project, the largest of its kind under construction in Angola, recently began offering clean tap water for nearly 5,000 residents in two affected villages.

Valued at $120 million, the project includes construction and installation of main water supply pipes, intake facilities, purification equipment, a tank, a water test laboratory and the water supply network. It is scheduled to be completed within 23 months.
Upon completion, the project will benefit about 600,000 Angolan residents.
So far, the main part of the project has been finished and adjustment of the 200-kilometer pipe is completed.
According to the head of the project, delivery and inspection of the project will start this October and the project is expected to be in full operation by the end of December.
