World's first quantum science satellite, Mozi, is launched on August 16, 2016

The world's first quantum science satellite Mozi was launched by a Long March 2D rocket carrier on August 16, 2016.

Mozi went on to perform the first quantum communication between a satellite and the Earth, creating a heaven-earth integrated system of secret quantum communication and scientific experiments.

It will also play a significant role in promoting sustainable development of China's other scientific satellites.

Many key technologies such as high-precision tracking, satellite-ground polarization state preservation and mismatch correction, as well as satellite-borne quantum entanglement, were matured during the development of the satellite.

The core module of the world's largest LNG project, contracted by China, is completed on August 16, 2017

The Yamal liquefied natural gas project between China and Russia was completed on August 16, 2017. Its core module was contracted by China National Offshore Oil Corporation.

It is currently the largest LNG plant construction project in the world and the world's first integrating exploration, liquefaction, transportation and sales of natural gas in polar regions.

The 180,000-ton core module of the project acts as the heart of the LNG plant and has 270,000 meters of pipeline as well as 3.3 million meters of cable.

It was the first time a Chinese company independently completed an international LNG core module.
