Yujiapu High-speed Railway Station, the World's Largest and Deepest Underground Station, is Completed on August 8, 2015

Yujiapu high-speed railway station, the world's largest and deepest underground station, is completed on August 8, 2015

Construction of the Yujiapu high-speed railway station in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, the world's largest and deepest underground station, was completed with control delivered to the Beijing Railway Administration on August 8, 2015.

The station is also the first monolayer long-span steel structure with a latticed dome in the world.

The shell-shaped dome was built with a steel and membrane-integrated structure, which allows passengers to see views 360 degrees around.

The completed tunnel shortened travel time between Yujiapu high-speed railway station and Beijing South Railway Station to 45 minutes, and the time from Yujiapu high-speed railway station to Tianjin Railway Station to 15 minutes.
