China State Construction Engineering Corporation was listed on July 29, 2009, the most valuable IPO in the world that year.

The IPO enriched the company's financing channels, offering strong financial support to its entry into high-end markets and affording a structural adjustment.

After the IPO, the company regrouped its subsidiaries including CSCEC Xinjiang Construction & Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd, China State Construction Port Engineering Group Corp., Ltd, Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd., CSCEC Road and Bridge Group Co., Ltd. and China State Construction Development Holdings Limited. It also purchased PLAZA Construction in the United States.

Overall, the company improved its market layout and optimized the industrial chains, realizing transformation and upgrading from single production to the production-capital operation mode.
