The first China-made intercity electric multiple units (EMUs) exported to Argentina went into operation in Buenos Aires, the capital, on July 21, 2014.

Manufactured by CRRC Corporation Limited, the first batch included 709 cars, most of which have gone into operation and have already carried millions of local passengers within and near the capital.

At the same time, the company also provided technical training and technical support for intercity EMUs in Argentina. That project was the first overseas technical support service involving China Intercity EMUs, and has realized all-round "going global" through "product plus service plus technology".
