The "Dongfanghong" tractor, the first manufactured since the founding of the People's Republic of China, goes into service on July 20, 1958

The "Dongfanghong" tractor, the first domestically made since the founding of the People's Republic of China, went into service on July 20, 1958.

The tractor was manufactured at the Luoyang Tractor Factory (predecessor of YTO Group Corporation, a subsidiary of China National Machinery Industry Corporation Ltd) in Central China's Henan province, which was also the birthplace of China's first off-road lorry for military use.

The company has manufactured more than 3.55 million tractors and over 2.7 million pieces of power machinery, and ranks at the top of the market share and in number of tractors owned.

The company was an amalgamated company composed of China Metallurgical Import & Export Corporation, China Metallurgical Raw Materials Cooperation, China International Iron and Steel Investment Corporation and China Metallurgical Steel Processing Corporation.  

There are 86 second-level units affiliated to the company, 63 in China and 23 overseas.

One of the earliest large-scale State-owned enterprises engaged in international economic and technological cooperation in China's "going global", the company has established a global purchase and sales network.

China Information and Communication Technologies Group Corporation was launched in Wuhan, Hubei province on July 20, 2018.

The company was jointly reorganized by FiberHome Technologies Group and Datang Telecom Technology & Industry Group.

The reorganization was conducive to integration of scientific research resources, and enabled a focus on innovation and acceleration of the key technology breakthroughs in the information and communication industry.
